Oseredok Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Centre presents an Art Exhibition by the Ukrainian Association of Visual Artists of Canada commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Taras Shevchenko. Twenty six artists from the Toronto area present images inspired by Shevchenko’s poetry and his legacy as the voice of freedom, justice and dignity. In addition to the Shevchenko-themed works the exhibition features artwork influenced by the Maidan revolution in Ukraine, including an installation piece dedicated to the fallen heroes of Maidan.
